Job Description

  • SAIC has a logistics analyst position in support of military ground combat system development and integration programs.

  • The position provides maintenance, supportability, and reliability analysis as part of an integrated product support team.

  • While conducting these analyses, the applicant will be required to determine support and test equipment requirements, determine facility requirements and recommend modifications and upgrades as applicable and assist with identifying packaging, handling, shipping and transportation of components and end items.

  • The applicant will be required to utilize technical proficiency and experience with military ground combat systems to actively participate in various working groups that are applicable and relative to maintenance planning, maintenance management, equipment supportability and form, fit and function.

  • The applicant is expected to work independently with limited supervision and may be required to supervise the performance of other personnel.


Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience or High School Diploma and 10+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in military maintenance and logistics operations

  • Providing maintenance, supportability, and reliability analysis as part of an integrated product support team

  • Providing maintenance and operator task analysis for combat systems

  • Providing system fault analysis for combat systems

  • Outstanding attention to detail

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Experience:

  • Serving in a maintenance battalion, U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Command, or USMC Installations and Logistics Command

  • Conducting Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis; Level of Repair Analysis (LORA); Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS); Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA); and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).

  • Managing maintenance operations for USMC Assault Amphibious Vehicles and/or Light Armored Vehicles

  • Previously held military occupational specialty: 2149, 2110, 2120, 2102 or 2805


  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 10 plus years of experience directly related to work in lieu of education.
