The candidate will be required to perform tasks of administrative and technical supply management work (e.g., receiving, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, part request/order management and packing.). This position will be staffed in Charleston, SC but will require occasional up to a 4-7 month deployment to the location of McMurdo Station, Antarctica. The candidate could be located geographically outside Charleston, SC but would be required to travel to Charleston prior to deployment. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignment require: (a) a good working knowledge of a governing supply-inventory system(s), logistics, distribution or property policies, work methods, manuals, or other established supply management guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. This position involves the physical handling of items received and those processed for shipping. Maintain effective paperwork and system records of inventory, property and process transactions to maintain all compliance requirements associated to supply management tasks (receipts for distribution, warehouse storage, inventory management or shipping). Inspect items for the correct quantities and damage in shipment and report it to the appropriate contacts for or assist in resolution. This Supply Technician delivers the products to its appropriate receiver, perform physically inventory, ensures custodians maintain control of property and maintain records. The Supply Technician will collaborate to other Logistics and Property subject matter experts across Raytheon to process and manage inventory as efficiently as possible. Education: High School diploma or GED. Experience: Five (5) years of experience in Logistics, inventory management, distribution or property management Supervisory or warehouse lead at a DoD facility Financial impact management- i.e. handling/reporting damaged property and reporting lack of process controls to manage inventory Logistics support for projects involving electronic/ electrical repair and installation, ordering, acquisition, distribution of material, equipment and resources. Participate in process improvements and provide the support required to the Program to enable adherence to Program schedules and cost requirements Property records or Property management- custodian assignment and management, hand receipts, transfer of property documentation. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (cold, wind).
