ManTech 3D Modeler/Drafter SME in Charleston, South Carolina

ManTech is currently seeking an experienced 3D Modeler/Drafter SME for our growing programs in Charleston, SC.

This position will require a current DoD security clearance.

Overview:

3D Modeler/Drafter SME will be responsible for the creation of 3D models and 2D technical drawings in support of baselining existing vehicle systems and components. Personnel will convert legacy 2D drawings, typically not in a PTC CREO format, into complete 3D models using the appropriate PTC CREO 3D modeling tools, i.e. Sheetmetal Design, and recreating the 2D drawing in a PTC CREO format.

Required Experience:

Extensive knowledge in creating 3D models and 2D drawings of singular components to complex multi-part assemblies using the corresponding PTC CREO functions to do so.

Extensive knowledge in the use of the PTC CREO Advanced Assembly Extensions (AAX) and Piping and Cabling Extension (PCX). Must be able to use AAX to implement a top-down design approach using skeleton models. Must be able to use PCX to route cables in 3D and apply the appropriate metadata to cable, i.e. wire color and gauge.

Experience as a Windchill Heavy User utilizing PDMLink.

Familiarity with the creation of Technical Data Packages and associated standards such as MIL-STD-31000 and ASME Y14.100.

Desired:

Ability to identify CAD file formats outside of the range of PTC products, and interact on a basic level in other CAD programs such as SOLIDWORKS and AUTOCAD.

Education:

Technical Training in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business, or CREO.

Years of experience:

Eight (8) to Eighteen (18) years of hands-on experience with C4ISR projects, to

include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements,

Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert who

has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in Engineering, Computer

Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Business.Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)

• Experience with the following additional MAGTF C2 / Situational Awareness (SA) applications/systems:

• Joint Tactical Common Operational Picture (COP) Workstation (JTCW)

• Command Operations Center (COC)

• Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P)

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Science, Education, Human Resources Development, and Psychology or other related disciplines and eight to ten years of experience or Master s degree and six to eight years of related experience or PhD and four to six years of related experience.
